Dell Latitude - MSI BT Nokia 6600 problem

Hi

Dont know if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem,

I have an old dell latitude laptop which I want to connect to
my nokia 6600 via a msi bt dongle.

the problem is i get an error message saying unable to load bluetooth
stack, this problem occurs only on my laptop not on my desktop
machine which uses the same bt dongle.

I have re-installed win 2k several times added the service packs 3&4
but it makes no difference at first I thought it was becase the laptop
has no comm ports. I know it uses virtual ones but the other
day I found an my spare hdd for the same machine and it worked
fine with no problems.

But because that drive is loaded with all manner of programs I am
not quite sure why it works but it does.

any advice or help would be great as I would love to use the device
to communicate between desktop, laptop and nokia phone
