Does any1 have instructions on how to connect and use the Jabvra 250 as a
paired headset on a PC with a 3Com 3crwb6096 card? Is this possible or is
the BT card just too old?
TIA

As an owner of that 3Com card myself I can tell you that I think it is
complete and utter crap. It is severely lacking all manner of Bluetooth
profiles/features, including audio, and in my experience is very flakey in
operation. I use mine to hotsync a Palm Tungsten T3, to sync a Sony Ericsson
T68i and to print to an HP DeskJet 995c printer.
Since the card is just a serial device with an antenna and transceiver it
follows that the missing features are lacking from the software. I fail to
understand why 3Com do not release up to date software and try to make up
for their existing shortcomings.
When it works it is fine but often it will just drop the connection for no
apparent reason, from just inches away, and often I will be left with a
hardware error that requires a reboot at the minimum, if not a complete
reinstall to recover from.
I do not want a USB dongle because it is bound to get snapped off, sticking
out of the back of my laptop where it cannot be seen, and I am really
thinking about going for the TDK PC card, which is way superior to the 3Com
in all respects and is also cheaper. I've had the 3Com card for 2.3 years
and I'm now completely sick of it.
I might add that I also had big problems with a 3Com 802.11a/b/g card that
caused repeated lockups in my Dell laptop, and I was not alone in suffering
this problem. After several months of wasted effort and rebuilds I finally
got a refund and am now using a Netgear card that seems faultless. I won't
be going anywhere near 3Com in the future.
