Microsoft and Bluetooth?

As others have said, not strictly cellular, so sorry, but there's not much
advice out there that I've found useful.

I want a Bluetooth desktop for my pc, because my current wireless keyboard
doesn't have the range I need. I know Microsoft make a Bluetooth keyboard,
but I've heard some bad things about it, like the receiver is incompatible
with other bluetooth devices that aren't Microsoft manufactured. Is this
true? I don't have any Bluetooth devices right now, but I don't want to
find that I can only buy MS products in the future if I buy this bluetooth
desktop setup now. Are there any other bluetooth keyboard and mouse setups
out there that you of, that may be better? Thanks.

It's not a bad product, it implements a limited set of profiles. You can
wait for Windows XP Service Pack 2 which brings more updated profiles,
including the ones required for Serial access (mobile and PDa
synchronisation) and others.
