Cant see the fun in sending "cute" messages to people, providing there phone
is setup properly and are within 20-30 feet of me. I have a big screen and
cable.

Occasionally.
Where I used to work, there was a mobile that would occasionally show up as
'I f*ck for food'. I'd often send it messages, but, had no idea where it
was.
In the end, I assumed that it's owner was Bluetooth-ignorant, and probably
had the phone re-configured by a friend one evening when they'd left the
phone alone in a bar. So, they probably had no idea of the Bluetooth name of
their phone, nor that it was discoverable, nor what I was on about in my
messages.
It was much more fun convicing one of the managers at that company to pair
their phone to my PC. Then I was able to play around with their
phone/settings from across the office.
Changing their ring-tone and logos.
Of course, had access to their address book and SMS history as well. Nice.
Must try bluejacking again when I'm next on the underground. Captive
audience, and you know where the signals are coming from.
