Bluetooth coding

Hi all,
i had to write an analyser for Obex and SDP in bluetooth,
i have installed the bluez stack for Linux (debian), can someone tell me
which library and which language i can use to develop this application?
Have you ever see something like that before?

I guess C and libbluetooth (from bluez-libs) would be quite appropriate.
For an example you might want to look at hcidump.
