Not realy a cellular question, sorry if off topic.
But is it posible to connect two PC's in a lan like manner using two
usb-dongles.
Or do I require a bluetooth access point.
Or should I go for 'real' wireless lan.
Tia, Jean.

this will depend on what you want to share. BT will not be strong enough to
send video files etc. A shared internet connection will be ok though. It
also depends on how far apart the computers are, as BT has a ltd range. I am
not sure if two dongles will be effective or if a poa would be required. It
is something I would like to know also.

Thanks Stu,
I guess class 1, said to reach 100m, would be okay in an average house.

It is not too difficult to link 2 PCs using 2 bluetooth dongles. The
problem is that the connection is not too stable, and the speed is very
low, compared to a WLL. Which dongle and sw do you have? Win 2k/xp or Linux?

I use this setup between my laptop and dekstop at home. The speed is
acceptable, knowing that I use cable modem within the Bluetooth limits
anyway. It's stable, I've been connected for hours. Of course YMMV depending
on hardware/software quality, and OS freshness/state.
