Nokia 3650, BT USB Dongle and Car kit
Posted: 11-26-2003, 09:58 AM
Software version is V 2.50 13-02-2003 NHL-8.
I want a USB BT dongle for my PC/Laptop for adding Symbion/Java apps to
my phone, and on ocassion using the phones internal modem. Laptop uses
win2k, desktop is WinXPpro SP1
Any recomendation for a Bluetooth dongle that I can find in say Maplin
that will work (prefer seeing what I'm buying with stuff I'm not so
familiar with, it's easier to take back if it don't work).
Also with the change in UK law, and the using of a handheld phones being
made illegal in a car in motion (not that I would normally answer until
I was stopped anyway, but I like the option if I'm delayed and can't
pull over), I want a car kit (not a personal headset).
I've been looking at the Parrot (CK3000 I think) kit. How tricky are
they to install? Anyone fitted one themselves? I have worked with car
audio, and fitted several headunits, an inverter and an integrated
touchscreen PC into a car, so I'm OK ish with car audio and electricals.
Will they work OK with a 3650 with that software level or will I need to
upgrade? Phone was an upgrade package from a Vodafone store so I'm
assuming they will be able to sort me out with new software.
TIA
