Forgive the question but new to bluetooth.
I am trying to replace my computer headset and mic with a bluetooth solution
it has been recommended to me that this can be done with an anycom usb
dongle and a pantronics 3000. is this correct and is it easy to set up
running XP loking to work on messinger or ivisit .
Many thanks

This is somewhat possible. First I don't know specifically about the Anycom
dongle but you need a BT adapter for your PC that supports the Headset
profile. This is usually a driver issue meaning you need the proper version
of the BT drivers that support headsets. For many of the dongles out there
that use Widcomm drivers you need at least 1.3.x.x drivers. There is also a
possible secondary issue and that is the dongle itself must be able to
support the headset function. According to Belkin Customer Support the
F8T001 USBG dongle model does NOT support headsets due to a lack of proper
hardware. I have this dongle and have not been able to get my Plantronics
headset to work with it.

It is realtively easy to set up . You simply pair the headset to the PC and
then you select BT Audio as your default audio playback device. If you
constantly switch between the headset and the regular speakers it may be a
bit of a hassle to switch the audio setup around.

Lastly, be forewarned that the plantronics headset is a mono headset so
stereo reception is out. Furthermore, I have heard comments that when host
CPU utilization goes up the audio quality can decrease significantly on BT
connected headsets.

Good luck
TC

Thanks
The AnyCom does support the headset profile so in theory should work.
