Dear all,
I currently have four sensors that are wired up and provide readings
to a microprocessor. I want to do away with the wiring and change it
so the sensors use bluetooth to communicate with a Bluetooth enabled
PC or PDA so I can pick up their readings whilst being mobile.
The sensors use RS232 comms so I was looking at buying a bluetooth
module which supported the SPP, and having each sensor feeding a
module. The PC/PDA would then have the software written so that it
talks to the sensors one at a time (using the MAC address of the
bluetooth module), to transmit and receive data.
Would this work ok? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on
modules which could be used with the sensors that are easily available
in the UK at a reasonable price?
Many thanks,
James Jones
